Clyde Valley Housing Association
This project consisted of the conversion of the former Coatbridge Library to form twelve individual social housing units for Clyde Valley Housing Association.
To the rear of the building, the existing block stones were demolished, however gables were retained, as was the lower section of the rear wall to form a new enclosed garden area.
To the front of the building, stone restoration walls were undertaken. The building was fully re-roofed and new sash and case windows were installed.
Internally, twelve individual flats were created over three levels as well as new communal deck access.
The category B listed building was built in 18 and was gifted to Coatbridge by Andrew Carnegie, it was therefore important to retain as many original features as practically possible.
