Project Profile - Purpose Built Convenience Store
NISA SUPERMARKETS

Building contractor scotland

NISA Newarthill was a purpose built Convenience Store, Post Office and ATM room, all a double block skin build, which including insulation achieved latest U Values.

A tricky attic truss design roof was comprised of 13m long timbers, all double trussed and bolted together for strength, then covered with concrete roof tiles.

An unusual design feature of this building was the insistence of the use of Terrazzo floor tiles, which are usually only found in larger Superstores etc.

The latest and up to date ventilation system was installed, which took cognisance of the AC heating so the 2 don’t battle for supremacy.

All new display fridges and freezers were installed.

State of the art alarms and CCTV were also installed. This allows the client to monitor their customers and staff. This is linked to the roller shutters which have to be open during business hours.
